Another thanks on this - I also had issues connecting to a local VM.

Strange bug, this, as traffic on the interface on the VM machine was showing sent and received packets, tcpdump on the VM worked fine, and so forth... but Mac OS thought the interface was down!

Oh well, at least it&#039;s sorted out.

I was experiencing the same problem--tried rebooting and looking at network settings to no avail. Luckily, Google set me to this page, and now the problem solved. :)</description>
