The roads in the Netherlands are becoming more crowded every year. Everyone seems to have a car and wants to drive in it to his/her work. Therefore more people try to find ways to be able to work at home. This leads to flexible work spaces at the office, less parking spaces, which leads to more people who want to work at home. Another thing is the internationalization of a lot of companies. We live in a 24 hour economy; we have collogues in The United States, India, The Netherlands, and all other European countries. We are looking for a way to make all this people work at the same project. This is not new, there are a lot of open source projects out there that prove it can work.
Now we have created the door to open source. Why is it that so many people use there spare time to create open source products. Often these people are among the top of the companies they work for during daytime. What can all these software companies learn from the open source world? This is one of the questions Freddie Van Rijswijk was trying to answer. This is why Freddie wrote The Gridshore Manifesto.
You are now at the home of Gridshore. This homepage is created as a wiki, meaning everyone can participate. Why did we choose to use the wiki concept? This has to do with the Gridshore principles. In fact we think a wiki should be part of the standard Toolset of a gridshore project. Within a wiki everyone can help to create the documentation in a collaborative way. Collaboration is one of the most important aspects of every project and probably the most important aspect in a gridshore project. This website will discuss all aspects of Gridshore including Project Management, Toolset
