Who is Freddie van Rijswijk

Freddie van Rijswijks is manager Custom Software Development (J2EE & Web) at Accenture Technology Solutions (ATS) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His main interest is improving people performance and to make their and his life better by looking for ways to be better prepared for the job (education, coaching) and to avoid unnessary traveling. He's doing this by encourage Continuous Improvement by coaching and education and by applying agile and lean programming principles. The Open-Source Community Model of working his it's main inspiration.

Freddie has started programming since 1987 and has being programming in Java since 1996. He has and had the privilege to write, among others: Financial applications, HR applications, web applications; desktop applications; integration applications; Business Intelligence application and have also worked on one of the biggest OO-java projects in the world (SanFrancisco project).

Last two years, his focus is more on productivity and the influence of the planning process and team dynamics on it.

In his spare time he is running half marathons or you can find him on an ATB. He is also a certified soccer trainer and trains the pupils (150 kids).
